  • I'm here to answer your questions!

    Hi everyone!

I get a lot of questions emailed to me or left as comments on The Jeans Blog, so I thought I would make a section here for those of you who need any advice from me personally, or want to specifically ask me a question. I frequent this section, so make sure you start a new thread with your questions and I will respond to you in each one. Please don't reply to this one with your questions as it will get complicated.

For those of you who want to see the blog page where I also answer questions, you can check it out here: http://thejeansblog.com/denim-jeans-...k-the-experts/

Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Lorna.

Hi Lorna! I need some advice/ help. I am looking for jean brands that are high end, designer maybe. I like dark high rise skinnys that have a bit of stretch but won't sag. I am Apple shaped and have very little butt. This causes what I call the "dirty diaper" look. I recently bought some Levi's that are 34's and are a bit big and have lots of sag. I decided to try some silver jeans (I like the look and Nordstrom rack had a sale). I bought I 33 low rise thinking they would fit better than the Levi's. Boy how wrong was I. They fit in the leg and butt but can we say muffin top?? This is the never ending problem with jeans for me. I LOVE the look of jeans but I've pretty much given up on being able to wear them as I can never find a good fit. Can you recommend a brand or style or really anything???? Thank you!

Hi! I will reply here since it's your first time, but it's required to start a new thread for each question, so they don't get lost in a mix of comments

That's a good question regarding that. Trying to think of brands that have slimmer legs and bigger waist ration is quite difficult actually as not many cater for it. Designer/premium brands often stop at size 32 as well and don't go up to a 34. I know PAIGE does have sizes 34 available on some, but her jeans are cut smaller in the butt area. Have you thought about trying the super stretchy pairs like the Hudson Barbara in Hideaway or Citizens of Humanity Rocket Sculpt Jeans? Let me know if you need any links, I will see if I can find some out for you, but they do both stop at size 32, but you might be able to size down as they stretch loads!

Gah! I'm sorry I posted in the wrong thing! I've never used one of these forums before. Thank you for the advice I will have to try those. I would love some links if it's not too much trouble! I'm also open to really any brands I was just wishfully thinking about nicer brands. If you know of any others that would work I would love to hear about them! Again, thank you!

Very odd, it might be because you're new. I'm looking into it!

Ah, the reason was because the visitor message was spam. It's not viewable to you because it's spam content.

Hey Lorna,I am hoping that you might be able to tell all the denim designers and web retailers that not all men are 6'2" and taller. There are a lot of us that are 5'8".Hopefully they can find some models that are not in the NBA. Thanks Ricky

Ha ha, hi Ricky! Yeah, I fully understand you. Adam is 5ft 9, and a lot of men are not over 6ft at all. It's the same for women though, we have to put up with the normal inseam lengths. I'm 5ft 4 and a cropped jean is what I wear as a regular skinny!
